Studio RAD was honored to provide initial concept and presentation design for the adaptive re-use of the historic existing iron Ore Dock in Marquette, Michigan’s historic downtown harbor. This project seeks to turn the Ore Dock into a civic treasure, creating ecological education facilities, year round indoor botanical gardens, preserving the structure and history, while simultaneously creating indoor and outdoor community spaces including a 2,000 foot public boardwalk.
